Arts in Wonderland wins “Special One-Time Project” Business/Partnership in Education Award.

August 9, 2011 6 comments

Hello Arts in Wonderland Followers,

As some of you know, Arts in Wonderland was Nominated for a Business/Education Partnership Award!    Brought to you by, The Manatee Chamber of Commerce and School Board of Manatee County.    For that we were very proud of this.   We attended the Breakfast this morning which was at Beautiful Freedom Village in Bradenton, Florida,  to find that we had been nominated for 3 Awards.  AMAZING!

We were so honored to be a part of this Event and to be nominated for these awards.  It’s a blessing that our community looks at us in those eyes.   And to know that we made such an Impact to be selected for the nomination’s.   Honestly, we were thrilled and very honored as a new business to even be invited and nominated.   Then to find out that we WON the “Special First-Time Project” Award !!!   We were floored and amazing and felt so grateful.

We as a business are still New to the Business World and helping out the communities and Schools.   But an experience like this has lit a new fire!  That is for certain.   We plan to attend as many schools as possible this upcoming school year to teach our workshop of “TEAMWORK”.   The process of putting together a Children’s Book!   It takes more than 1 person to make anything happen!   Life is about teamwork!    Without my family, friends and my very supportive wife/partner and kids, Arts in Wonderland wouldn’t be possible.

The Food was amazing!  The Talent/Singer at the event, was even more amazing, talk about America’s Got Talent, she was in that ROOM!   The participation of the community, schools, businesses was very heartwarming.   Once I get pictures back from the event, and / or video, I will post.

There were so many wonderful successful, helpful, giving businesses, and we were pleased to be a part of it!

“The Odd Couple” Live Auction for the Humane Society of Sarasota County – Photos and Videos

Hello Everyone,

I had the pleasure today to attend 5th Annual “Paws on the Catwalk” Benefit for the Humane Society of Sarasota County.   Wall Art and Myself collaborated together and donated a beautiful original piece of artwork titled “The Odd Couple” ……. to be auctioned off to help the Humane Society!    Being an animal lover myself, it made it so much more of a pleasure.   My wife and I have rescued many dogs and cats, nothing worse than a lonely pet!

I find it amazing what the Humane societies do and I say, KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO!!

I am very proud to have been a part of this Benefit!    All of the donations were wonderful, the food was amazing, the fashion show was beautiful and the live performance was great and the boy the comedians really knew how to get everyone to laugh!!   All and All it was beautiful ……..   The World is beautiful place because of the Humane Society of Sarasota!!

I put together a few pictures and video from the Event to share with you, I hope that you enjoy!

“Raising Funds Through Art” – The Humane Society of Sarasota County

http://www.yourwallart.com

As part of our effort to help our local charities with my “Raising Funds Through Art” initiative, I will spotlight our resident artist, Joesph Palotas, and The Humane Society of Sarasota County this Friday night from 7 to 9 p.m.

For the month of May, Joe and I have chosen The Humane Society of Sarasota County’s (HSSC) “Paws on the Catwalk” event to be held at Michaels on East May 13th.

To help with their cause and the event, I commissioned Joe to paint an original oil and acrylic canvas entitled “The Odd Couple”. It depicts a sassy cat driving a dog in an old Chevy that makes me laugh out loud each time I see it. It is truly a great piece for the dog or cat lover in all of us.

The framed painting will be donated for the live auction during the HSSC event on May 13th. However, I urge you to come out to the gallery Friday night, enjoy some wine and antipasto, meet Joe and put in a sealed bid for his painting. I will carry the highest bid to the event and hopefully be calling to give you the news that you were the highest bidder!
